An auction was held March 21 at Kramer Auction Service in Prairie du Chien. Sales were strong on guns and demand for ammunition was heavy. An auction will be held in April 17 – 18 at Kull’s Old Town Station Auction Pavilion in Topeka, Kansas. A preview of items will be held Thursday, April 16 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, April 17 – 18 from 8 – 9 a.m. For more information, call (785) 862-8800. Headlined by the first portion of the “Doc” Murphy Colt collection, the March 16-17 James D. Julia auction featured very strong sales of early Colts — including many that beat pre-sale estimates.
