Home or at my parent’s I presume. If everything works out, I’ll be changing diapers on son #2 by then 🙂 No party anywhere that can match that . He’s due December 11th (planned cesarian, as he’s well above 11Ibs by now…).

Always want to be home with my wife and sons eating turnip greens, blackeyed peas and cornbread. Would love the opportunity to win, read and pass these books around to my sons and buddies.

    Thank you!

  3. xxxlbigdog

I’ll be at home with my lovely wife of 18* years. We’ve hit the age of not being out partying so much any more. I’m always looking for ways of upgrading my reloading knowledge, so would love to score this information.

Will be home New years eve, first time in a few years, Depressing night for me since I will wake up the next day another year older, never had to work my birthday tho.

New Year’s eve is just another work night. With luck it will be a nice quiet uneventful day. Lunch will be sometime around 2 AM. Now, the only question will be what left over to nuke for lunch.
The good part of working nights is that I’m on the road before and after the drunks pretend they can drive.

On New Year’s Eve I will be with my family. I am also reading Max Brook’s book about the Zombie Revellion. A good time!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I wish everyone a Happy New Year

New Years I try to stay away from the maddening crowds. I would love to (and will!) sit at home, catch a bowl game and relax by doing some metallic reloading, working on my press (I got some new “toys” for Christmas!)and enjoying my family during the end to the Holidays.

Our right to own or have in out possession is being challenged in the most serious way. it does not take a genious to see that this present goverment administration is moving towards an outright ban and confiscation. Weust all support the NRA.

  9. David

This is the first time I have ever logged onto the site. I could use the books because I need to update my knowledge ad skills. I just started reloading again after 21 years because I got back into shooting again. I used to shoot during my active duty years in the Army. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years.

I’ll be sitting on front of the TV with our yearly tradition of having Chinese takeout. And my New Years resolution is to begin reloading so these books would fit the bill nicely.

  11. bernief

I will be at home with my wife of 48 years my son & daughter and their 7 grandchildren, the oldest of whom will have just received his first BB gun for Christmas. My 5 year old granddaughter loves to pull the handle on my Lyman T-mag press. How much better than that can it get

  12. DuaneT

I am just getting back into reloading and getting my “stuff” set up, so the books would be a great benefit. I just retired so we are going to get some long needed R&R on New Years eve. Hope everyone has a Blessed Christmas and do your best to stop the crazies in DC, we are going to be in for a rough ride, hopefully American pride will save the day. We have to keep our nation free from enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC!!

Will be sharing the New Year with my Sweetie at her folks’ place so will be out of town. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend 2013 though. Happy New Year to all!

  14. dmdmx2

Think I’ll stay up. People around here always do fireworks and I’d get woke up anyway. Then I’ll call it a night around 1am and go to bed and sleep so that I can stay awake for some of the bowl games and maybe the Rose Parade at 8am. Sure would like to win these books!

  15. windkey

Since we’re house sitting, it will mostly depend on whether the home owners are there or not. If not, we’ll sit back and enjoy our favorite adult beverages and see the new year in at home. If they are, we may get a room at a local motel and play hooky, which can be quite fun, lol.

  16. BluRaven

I will be home loading up ammunition due to the costs skyrocketing of .223/5.56 as I write this. Using of course, my Gun Digest books! Would love to have these new books in my collection.

  17. netraider

If I win these great books, I will be at home by the fireplace cruising through these dream books. I will have returned from Whiskey Row and Prime Rib dinner before the heavy drinkers zig zag home in their over build Pick-ups and SUV zombie terminators. Thank you Gun Digest for all the terrific giveaways even though I did not win. Happy Holidays gun digest and staff.

  18. bandhriot

This New Year’s Eve will be spent in our traditional manner. That being with a group of about 4 other adult couples whose offspring are off in other parts of the country or the world. We will indulge in such mundane repast as prime rib or a succulent lamb rack accompanied by pot luck vegetable, several already tested wines and a delicious New York Cheesecake prepared by a native of that city who was fortunate enough to marry and move to South Louisiana.

  19. muscotah

I’ll spend a quiet evening at home with the wife and we’ll probably fall asleep early with the young cattle dog between us. New Year’s Day is a celbration day, with the traditional meal including black-eyed peas.

  20. fultimer40

My wife and I will be staying home by the fire. She will be working on a quilt for one of the grand kids, and I will be looking up a load for my new 25.06 in my 27 year old reloader guide.

  21. Plainshunter

Normally, we just stay home. But this year I’m going to compete in the annual Resolution Run that one of our local running clubs puts on each year on New Years Eve. Sounded fun and was something different to do.

  22. okfine

I will be working when the ball drops providing roadside assiatance for all the travelers. Would love to win just getting into reloading and this would be a big help.

  23. rcmsr.1

i would like to win because i like to learn more about reloading i do not buy ammo except for my .22 if i do not have the reloading equip for a new gun i invest in it and then find the load best for that gun thanks

  24. gunslinger454

Me? Stay at home on New Year’s Eve?!?!? That is…that is…exactly what I will be doing, just like every year since 2002! New Year’s Eve is a go to the bar kind of night, and it’s illegal to carry a firearm inside a bar here in Kentucky where I live. Therefore, I very rarely go to a bar, and I never go when it’s going to be crowded. Generally speaking, if my Kimber 1911 and/or S&W M&P don’t go, I don’t go!

  25. strom19

Our plans for New Years eve is to spend a quite evening at home reflecting on this pass year only to pray for a better New Year, for our loved ones and America.

  26. SgtSam

We’re planning a quiet, or maybe not so quiet, Christmas and New Year with my children and, run for cover, my grandchildren. I’m sure it will all work out for the best.

  27. 4570inMD

    > plans for New Year’s Eve – At home, or out on the town?
    > + At home. Ready to start the year that the ancient Mayans’ long-count calendar said would not be. . . .

  28. aride4ever

I believe im going to be reloading the match ammo I hope is sitting for me under the tree. I planed a day at the range the 26th. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  29. isaias_1

I hope to be reading my new “The ABC’s of Reloading” or “Cartridges of the World” book. That’s of course if the world doesn’t end on Friday the 21st.

    1. Big Al in Nebraska

Spending it with the Game Warden down the street! I still have my father’s copy of Gun Digest from 1968, great re-reading it from time to time…although prices have changed a bit! Best wishes to all and may 2013 bring you all health and happiness!!

  30. Steves308

With two young children, I’ll be celebrating at home, probably be the only one still awake at midnight ;^)

And I would like to be entered in the giveaway contest.

  31. joatesiii

I am taking my lovely bride to Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve…she has never been and has wanted to go for years. And I am just starting to learn about reloading and these books would be ideal.

    Warmly,
    James

  32. LuckeyReynolds

More than likely will spend New Year’s Day ringing in the New Year with the beautiful sounds of AR-15 and .45 acp fire. Trying to learn how to reload to make such outings cheaper, thus doing it more often. Keep up the good work.
