I would love to win these books as I do not own a 1911 YET….but would prefer to build my first one. I hve shot several friends guns and love the feel in my hand as it is rather on the small side and many others do not fit that well. Bu by wanting to be a sef taught gun smith I think the information contained here would be of great benefit to my task.

My 1911 would be used for home defense and also would like to shoot competitive with it.

  16. Scotty says:

I crafted my 1911 with my own hands. It’s pretty special to me so I only bring it out once in a while when I go to the range. I hope someday to pass it down to a grandson or daughter so they can learn about and enjoy the simple complexity of John Browning’s incredible design and the the true meaning of the Second Amendment…Freedom.
