I’ve been a gunsmith for over 30 years. I like many handguns but the 1911 has and always will be my favorite.

Spare Parts
My 1911, a Kimber Custom TLE/RL II equipped with a set of Crimson Trace Pro-Series Lasergrips (in the burlwood finish) & a Streamlight TLR-1s weaponlight, is used primarily for self-defense. It is my primary carry gun, and it sits in a bed-side holster for home defense as well.
I carry mine concealed as I and my Wife are disabled, for home defence and I just plain enjoy shooting it. ( When I can afford the shells! )
Thinking about purchasing a 1911. These books would give me invaluable information to assist in my decision making.
I am considering concealed carry and need more help. These books would be a big help.
My SA is my primary home weapon, and I really need the books.
I don’t have any 1911 books in my collection, so this would be great to have.
I forgot to add that I use my 1911 mostly for target shooting a plinking.
Like my good friend and SWAT commander told me, you can’t call yourself a gun collector if you don’t have at least one 1911. I took it as an order and now have 3. Best handgun I have ever owned or fired. Mine is for back-up and target shooting.

A 1911 of one kind or another has been used to protect this country and my family since its inception, by my great grandfather, grandfather, father and by me now as my present day carry pistol. I love the 1911!!
