** The giveaway has ended, but be sure to check the Inside Gun Digest Books blog often for more chances to win great Gun Digest books.**
Gun Digest has been publishing the Cartridges of the World since 1965, and during that time we’ve seen a lot of cartridges come and go. While this newest and most comprehensive 13th edition, just like its predecessors, contains information on many rounds that are no longer in production, we made room for new rounds moving many esoteric, odd and obsolete rounds to a bonus CD, which is included with the book.
In this completely revised and updated 13th edition, you also get:
- 55 all-new factory manufactured and wildcat cartridge listings, complete with technical drawings
- Updated resource information throughout
- Fully updated specifications and references
Plus, a special color section includes essays by three of the industries leading writers with crucial, “state of the union” information.
This week, we’re giving away a copy of Cartridges of the World to one lucky winner.
To enter the random drawing, just post a comment below telling us about your primary interest in cartridges. Are you a reloader, a collector or a simply a connoisseur of all things firearms? Or, as always, you can just say you’d like to win the book.
Entries will be accepted until midnight Tuesday (Sept. 11, 2012) and we’ll announce the winner Wednesday (Sept. 12). Good luck!

I’ve been hunting for about 20 yrs. All 5 of my boys have been out with me. We all love to shoot! I just started a gunsmith course and collecting references. THIS WOULD BE AN AWESOME ADDITION!
I am a reloader, a collector, and a connoisseur of all things firearms related, This book would be a very valuable addition to my library. I would love to win this.

I own the previous edition and am the Senior Sales Rep for a firearms manufacturer. I also own my own firearms business and am a competitive shooter. My priorities are God, family, and firearms in that order.

This publication I’m sure will be of the best quality as are all your books.
I’m new to reloading and would like to get a copy of this book…
I remember reloading many cartridges as a kid back and my Dad having a Remington reloading digest. Great to have that experience & memory.
I first saw a copy of Remington’s cartridge catalog when I was 12 y o, in the 60′s. I love how many ways you can combine bullet, powder, cartridge & primer. I am a connoisseur.
We used this book almost every day when I worked at one of the big box gun stores. A great reference.
I’m not just a gun nut; I’m a ballistics nut. I own and have thoroughly studied the previous editions of Cartridges of the World, as well as all of the similar books on cartridges and ballistics. I use QuickLOAD and QuickDESIGN software to design more efficient cartridges. My best effort so far is very similar to the 6.5mm Creedmore.
I build custom guns and this would help people choose a caliber.
I’ve got all twelve editions. For some reason, #6 has always been my favorite, perhaps because it was my first. Will #13 be lucky for me?
