Thanks to everyone who entered to win a copy of Own the Night. Blog readers were quick to identify several errors in last week’s “what’s wrong with this picture” question.
According to Scott Wagner, author of Own the Night: Selection and Use of Tactical Lights & Laser Sights, “Officer demonstrates improper positioning of light, so that gun and sights are illuminated, rather than the target. Notice shadow on the target from the illuminated hand. This obscures a good part of the illumination field that could have been used to the officer’s benefit, plus it puts the light directly in front of the officer’s face to draw fire.”
The winner of the random drawing is “govtmule,” who will receive a free copy of Own the Night.
If you didn’t win the drawing but would like to buy the book, you can click here to visit the Gun Digest Store and get your own copy (on sale now for only $9.99).
