Left-hand .416 Rigby
Here is Joe Smithson’s left-hand .416 Rigby on a GMA action and Krieger oversize barrel blank. He recontoured the factory GMA action and bottom metal to be more to his liking. He then machined the Krieger barrel blank to provide for an integral quarter-rib, front sight base, and front sling swivel stud. He fashioned the stock from a piece of Circassian walnut, fitting a Jerry Fisher grip cap and checkering it in a point pattern, 24 LPI, with mullered borders. This rifle also features Joe Smithson quick detachable scope mounts. Photo by Steven Dodd Hughes
