Revolvers

Another entry in the packer/kit gun is Ruger’s LCRx 3-inch. Last year Ruger brought out an exposed hammer version of their very successful LCR line. At 15.7 ounces in .38 Special +P, the LCRx 3-inch revolver is accurate and small enough for almost any purpose. Double-action trigger pull on the LCR has been excellent from the beginning, but the added accuracy potential of the 3-inch barrel, combined with adjustable sights and a single-action trigger, make this an impressive little gun for general outdoor use. It’s something that should be a valuable addition to any kit bag. The LCRx 3-inch is available in a matte black finish only. ($549; ruger.com)

There may not be as many revolver companies cranking out new designs each year as their high-capacity semi-auto counterparts, but revolvers still command a loyal following.

Ruger LCR Now Available in 9mm

Typically, the 9mm is only thought of as a semi-automatic pistol round. But Ruger has expanded its petite LCR concealed-carry revolver line to include the wildly popular caliber.
