I would love to win these books as I do not own a 1911 YET....but would prefer to build my first one. I hve shot several friends guns and love the feel in my hand as it is rather on the small side and many others do not fit that well. Bu by wanting to be a sef taught gun smith I think the information contained here would be of great benefit to my task.

My 1911 would be used for home defense and also would like to shoot competitive with it.

I crafted my 1911 with my own hands. It's pretty special to me so I only bring it out once in a while when I go to the range. I hope someday to pass it down to a grandson or daughter so they can learn about and enjoy the simple complexity of John Browning's incredible design and the the true meaning of the Second Amendment...Freedom.

I use it for ALL - concealed carry, home defense, target shooting! However, "Carry" is where it spends most of it's time... And, as always, I'd just like to say I would love to win the books too!!!

And don't forget good dry fire exercises on a regular basis. It's free and also helps build repeatable draw and aim technique.

My question is: When did slow customer service become the norm? It is only the norm because we sit around like a bunch of cows and wait for the rancher to fatten us up. Personally I don't think they should even advertise a product that they are not prepared to ship right away. Running out is one thing but saying your going to wait before you even order is just poor management.

If you have a limited number just say so, but don't tell me it could be 3-4 weeks. How do you improve customer service? You provide the customer what they want. If it is in short supply then you let the customer know. If you don't have it then don't offer it until you do. Simple.

I have 2 of these holsters for my Glock and for me they are the best I have ever owned. I strictly use the polycarbonate shell model now and it does have somewhat of a handgun retention feature to it, all you have to do is slightly twist the grip towards your hip a bit as you draw and it comes right out. Another feature I really like is the belt clip, it is completely adjustable so you can set your own draw angle. Finally it's just plain comfortable all year long, you forget you're carrying about 5 minutes after your rig is on. It's definitely worth the money and it ships directly from the makers ($3.00) and I got mine in three days after ordering.
