This 28-gauge Ithaca side-by-side shotgun was made from 1908 to 1926 and it still is in mechanically sound condition. It has 2 3/4 inch chambers with full and modified chokes. It has double triggers, a splinter forearm and a pistol-grip stock. The setter engraving is on each side of the gun.
Price realized: $4,025
The Rock Island Auction Co. based in Rock Island, Illinois, hosted its largest antique gun auction of the decade on April 20, 21 and 22, 2012. The auction generated $12.6 million in sales.
