I bought the egyptian with a dark but strong bore/rifling but later replaced it for the chamber was rough and a new barrel was easily installed by myself and only $35. There are still lots of the replacement barrels floating around for under $75. They are complete with gas tube and front site if I remember correctly. These guns shoot alot like a garand but are of a superior design. They are the last of the classic rifle styled automatics. The economy has liberated a few back onto the market to cover house payments. I have seen a number of good shooters in the $500 to $600 range at gunshows here in the carolinas. Now is the time to buy.

I have two Venezuelans in 7mm and an Egyptian in 8mm.
