The original a-5 was a ponderously heavy gun, good only for the duck blind or trap range. One must remember to grease the barrel and receiver rails or the barrel will wear out causing a shifting point of impact. Also the magazine body should be at least oiled and preferably greased as this part will rust very quickly and cause malfunctions. The factory instructions recommend you do not strip the receiver to clean it. Probably because this is a very time consuming job and if you do not know what you are doing and have special screw drivers to fit the very narrow slots in them you will damage the gun. The problem though is that you can get rust damage internally if the gun is never stripped in the receiver and lubed and the sear and hammer can get clogged with burnt power and also suffer wear if they are never cleaned and lubed.

The A-5 Lightweight is the one to get.
