Early Sporting Rifle with spur guard and 30″ barrel. “Cape” rear sight, windage-adjustable “Express” front sights are typical, as are stock, lock and breech design. First appearing in I860, these rifles were offered in light and heavyweight (one pound difference) models, and were made in limited numbers through the muzzle-loading period.
