Diamondback DB FS Nine

Picture 1 of 8

The release of this new full-size, polymer 9mm semi-auto was just announced prior to the NRA annual meetings in Indianapolis and is a new step for Diamondback, which has built its handgun name around more compact models. Billed as “Full-Size Fury,” the glass-fiber reinforced polymer pistol is a double-action, striker-fired model built on a double-stack frame and rounded out with a stainless steel slide. A flared magwell aids in fast, reliable even-under-pressure reloads, while an extended magazine pad aids grip. The handgun utilizes both a trigger safety and firing pin block safety. The magazine holds 15 shots and purchase of the gun includes a free NRA membership. ($483; diamondbackfirearms.com)

I own the CZ P07 and all I can say is that it is a fantastic gun. It is accurate with a nice trigger in double or single action. The ability to swap out the safety for a decocker is nice as well. Well worth the money.

THE S&W 929 IS THE GUN FOR ME. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ALL OF THE GUN MAKERS TO PLEASE LOOK HARD AT BRINGING THE 41 ACTION EXPRESS CAL BACK IN BOTH AUTO AND REVOLVER FORMATS. I WOULD BUY SEVERAL OF EACH ONE MADE.

The only one of those I’d even consider buying would be the .460 S&W. More companies need to come out with 10mms, specifically SIG Sauer and HK.
