Kimber Model 8400 Advanced Tactical
The Kimber Model 8400 Advanced Tactical Rifle is built by hand in limited quantities, each one has a match-grade barrel, chamber and trigger. Ensuring the highest degree of accuracy, Advanced Tactical rifle also have a trued bolt face, hand-finished chamber, lapped lugs and custom glass bedding. Additional special features include an extended bolt handle with enlarged knob and a Picatinny rail with integral 20 MOA elevation.
Recently an all-black model in .308 Winchester was added to the line. The original version has a desert camouflage-pattern stock and dark earth metal finish. It is available in both .308 Winchester and .300 Winchester Magnum.
All Advanced Tactical rifles have the premium KimPro II metal finish, which is non-reflective, self-lubricating and extremely resistant to moisture and salt. McMillan A-5 fully adjustable stocks have a positive stippled texture, a bipod stud and four flush QD sling swivel cups. Each rifle is shipped in a Pelican hard case.
Other standard features include a 3-position Model 70-type wing safety, floorplate with release button inside the trigger guard and a full-length Mauser claw extractor for true controlled-round feeding and extraction.
